Because there are “crossover” games between divisions, and the number of “crossover” games varies from team to team, playing upper level teams can unfairly effect the standings.  So we have added the winning percentage to the standings.  The winning percentage is calculated as follows using the games played against teams within the same division only –
Wins are one point.  Ties are half a point.
#points / GP multiplied by 100
Ex. TeamA has 4 wins and 1 tie in 8 games with teams within their division:
4 (wins) + .5 (1 tie) = 4.5 points
4.5 divided by 8 (games) = .5625 or 56.25 percent
If a lower level beats and upper level team, that game, even though it is a crossover game, will count in their respective divisions.  This will reward the level lower team (they beat a higher level team) and penalize the upper level team.
